In high school, I participated in the orchestra, I was a freshman mentor, and I participated in 4h. Additionally, I worked part time at Fair Oaks Farms. As much as I enjoyed these activities, I needed to attend college because I wanted to be a teacher. 21st Century Scholars allowed me to attend college and to graduate with a degree in education and without student debt. Now I am able to help students in Hammond learn about similar opportunities that are available to them.

I graduated from Purdue University Northwest in 2020 with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education and am now a teacher at Washington Irving Elementary School. 21st Century Scholars is such a blessing, and it can bless you, too.
